The Beginning of Back 40

I studied horticulture, landscape construction, and landscape design at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN. After graduating, I worked in Brainerd for 7 years doing landscaping work. In 2007, I started my own landscaping business called LandsEnd Landscaping. I started this company out of my home in New Ulm with 2 shovels, 2 rakes, and a wheelbarrow. Soon after, Dave Johnson became part of the business as a partner. Dave is also from New Ulm, where he resides with his family. Together we have established The Back 40 Nursery & Landscaping. We figured we needed a new name that would appeal to the nursery and landscaping aspect .

The year 2010 marks my eleventh year in business. Landscaping has always been fun for me, and I am grateful that I get to do something I enjoy. I find it rewarding to work with clients from start to finish on their project. I will bring my knowledge to you and help you with your next project!
